Spring Grove
This project had a couple of interesting aspects to it. The clients wanted to upgrade their outdoor cooking area from a cart grill to an outdoor kitchen. They had an idea of what they wanted and the space they wanted to put it. Like many of our clients he wanted the grill and she wanted it to look nice. So working with both of them we came up with this design. His 48” Fire Magic grill and Gourmet Power Burner and her granite tops and stone to match their retaining walls. We also included a sink, triple drawer storage unit and access doors. The arched backsplash also houses two coach lights for accent and mood lighting. The other element of this design was the second island set up to serve beverages. Included in the island is a trash pull out, a Fire Magic beverage center and a 24” Summit refrigerator.

Trout Valley
This project was part of a complete house and landscape remodeling plan. We placed this island at the edge of the new brick paver patio in order to allow placement of patio furniture and a dining table. We angled the island to follow the line of the step and raised the one end to allow for additional seating. This island contains a sink, a 24” Summit refrigerator, a 48” Fire Magic grill, double access doors, a trash pullout and a triple drawer storage unit.

Libertyville
This island was placed on the client’s deck. The design challenge with this project was to match the angle of the island with the angle of the wood deck surface. In this example the tops were raised to allow for seating at the island while cooking or entertaining. The stone matches stone used for the columns supporting the stairs leading to the deck. The client selected a chiseled edge finish for the granite tops to add another element and texture.
